Yep, with a few differences. I like the way both games are played full out--unless someone is seriously hurt in the middle of the field, they just shunt them to the side and play on
From what I've seen in Six Nations, rugger is much the same in that respect.

I didn't know much about rugby (and still watch in amazement rather than truly knowing exactly what's going on--lol) until I made some friends in Ireland and Australia who are very into it. I don't have cable, but sometimes I can catch games on YouTube or streaming on RtE.
