I keep a ficus tree with white lights on it. Well, I have two. Makes me happy when I light it all year round.

I have to say, the neighborhood looks so nice with the outside lights that I wish we'd keep at least a token of them up. Not the big props and all - but the lights in the trees, the lighted icicles on the rooflines? Nice.
Or just the quiet white candles in the windows.
Had a very restful time. Feel better and more fit for fight than before christmas. Had a nice family christmas and have read at least 8 books since the board closed. On the 27,th winter finally arrived in sweden with the first snow. Now has the cold come too. It is about 10 C below zero. A gift from Siberia according to the weathermen. Nice to see you all again!
Here it's still above 0. I finally put the winter tires under my car two days ago, as the forecasts were a whopping -1 for the coming week. After I was done it had already gone up again to +3

Oh yeah. I did a thing while the board was down for the holidays. I started an afghan, it's almost finished.

I progressed to lesson 17 in my sign language studies. That's the equivalent of a second class in a second semester college course.
I started a clamshell baby quilt. THis is what one looks like, but this isn't mine.
I got my xmas tree put up xmas eve, so it's staying through January.
Caught a horrible cold. Slept a lot.

Dana Jean , that's such a beautiful quilt! Wow! (I know it's not yours, but I really love the design. I'm sure yours will be just as gorgeous.) I hope you're feeling better.
Thank you! Mine is really pretty. I'll try to get a picture and post it in the craft thread when I get more to show. It is English Paper Piecing and appliqué. It allows me to be creative while not putting a lot of strain on my back.

Im really envious about your energy. Your different projekts, be it quilt or something else. Me, i have thought about different things to do but it stayed as a thought. Never got to the point of actually starting something. But it was nice to be a lazy bum too......
Christmas was quiet. Went to my Aunt's house Christmas Eve. Spent Christmas Day at SwiftMoms. Went to visit one of my cousins in NH the day after Christmas.
Spent the last week of the year wrapping things up at my old job.
Went to a a party at SwiftSis's house on NYE. It was OK but this is the last year I'm doing that I think.
Saw the new Star Wars movie on New Years Day. It was pretty good.
Saw Reservoir Dogs on the big screen last night.
Starting a new job on Monday
