I think most of you know my husband is having shoulder surgery on Monday to take care of a bone spur, a torn tendon and torn rotator cuff, and he also has some little cyst-like formations they are going to remove.
Tomorrow we will go get him fitted for his sling and pick up the ice pump thingy and we have several errands to run and grocery shopping to do, so it will be a busy day and I am not sure if I will get to come here and the weekend we are hoping to just spend quietly. So I am posting my prayer request early. Would you please keep us in thoughts and prayers?

Hi FlakeNoir, Sorry to hear about your granny. mal.
....you know you have them girl.....and if I can be of any help with the medical terminology/procedural crap-I will be glad to try and draw on my limited experience and clear what I can up.....he will be amazed at how much better he feels once the operation is over....yes, the site is going to hurt and so will recovery and therapy....just make sure he has pain meds and have him take them so he can stay on top of it.....no sense being miserable, and he can wean himself to the OTC analgesics as he feels better....oh yeah, since that pain shtuff can be constipating-make sure you have a good softener or laxative available.....no reason to have a poopy mood hubby, just cuz he can't poop.....Hi gang,

Many prayers, Mz. Cat. Try to think beyond the surgery, when your husband is recovering and healing beyond the tears and spurs with prayers that time will come soon. Many prayers. To Sir Giant's recommendation for a laxative, Benefiber has a wonderful strawberry/kiwi flavored powder you add to water and next day! Voila!!Hi gang,

Also re rehab, have him take meds before, makes the moving around more tolerable.
