I have never been a member of any other board.. so I can't say how they are. I only know I feel welcome on this one and I'm glad... cuz I LOVE SK!!

I do have a facebook group... (not SK related.. it's Cowboy related..lol ) so I kinda understand the hell the mods can have here. At least on facebook I can 'vet' the requests 'before' I let them join the group. Here I guess you can't.. you just have to wait and see what the tide brings in.

Bless Steve and his fans! Total agreement about other boards. I was amazed how even people on a classic toy forum were convinced I was trouble--I never learned for what. This isn't the only board on which I am active but I have dropped or been dropped by many others.
I've been on at least two other boards that were fine. One was dedicated, still is far as I know, to a like-kind exchange of political thought and a desire to live free and that is what they are trying to do. Went there with the idea of voting with my feet, went to the actual place, as well, met a few of them. Doesn't hurt to have a place to go to ride the storm out. The other was short-lived, local, and was populated by many persuasions and as the proverb describes, as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. And I've been in and out of boards where dissenting opinion is not tolerated and past clean-ups are likened to purges. I've found that in all places there are those who will or will not "like" you and I've also discovered...and learned...that it is best to ignore threads or people and that option is available here. Goodbye, Blue Monday.
