Sunny be safe
Thanks, Linda! :love_heart:
I'm still here...and mostly dry. We didn't get all the rain that was originally forecast, but we did get quite a bit. Lots of wind, too. The neighbor's willow tree stayed where it belongs on the bank, and my basement only took on about a gallon or so of water.
It's still raining today, but I can see light at the end of the tunnel......on Tuesday.

Glad to hear this. The news said parts of SC may have had TWENTY inches of rain or more. Can't imagine. How much you think you got, Sunny?

Our rain came over a period of 11 days, so our flooding was an ongoing thing. We had several roads and bridges under water, as well as half of the mall parking lot. As if this morning, we have a total of 16.25''. Only about 4" of that was received over the weekend.
I saw some photos of Charleston, SC last night, and almost wept.

Linville Falls... on Saturday (I think) I didn't take this photo, but it was posted on a local meteorologist's web site.

I understand. But next time, right?......
Perhaps. I do have to take down a cherry tree that is dying. How do you feel about using a Poulan chainsaw that the chain keeps jumping off of? I have a pair of work boots with a nice big slice taken out of the top of one to prove it. (Goop is a wonderful thing to repair boots... or at least to keep your feet dry)

My uncle says absolutely no chainsaws.......but I figure, how hard can it be? I'm in!
