Many prayers for all. Please be very careful in flooded streets. Never can tell what might be under the water. Thankful you are ok. Do you have a pump for your basement? My folks did up north.
School is two hours delayed today so that road crews can finish clearing debris, and make sure some of the rural areas are safe for buses.
I wish I had a pump for the basement, but it doesn't even have a drain. So it's just me sweeping, bleaching, and running the dehumidifier. I was lucky.....I have a couple of rugs on the floor down there, and they absorbed quite a bit of the water. Of course, now I need to buy new rugs. Hahaha.
Thanks so much for the prayers.....my best friend lives above me in the same neighborhood, and her roof leaked horribly, and at least one person lost their car when it floated away at the mall.

Glad you are ok! That was a scary looking line of storms.

Glad you got through things with only minimal problems.

Just think of all the cool tools you could use. :p And the basin doesn't need to be that big. Mine is only a third of that size and works just fine.

I'm okay. The basement flooded, but that's really expected, and I have it much better than a lot of folks here did.
I was taking my daughter to dance class, and had to drive through a badly flooded area. If I had still had the Subaru, I'd have been stuck because it was much lower to the ground than the Nissan is.
...that's where ya make the bootleg stump water iddnit?.....

Our sump pump has saved us from flooding in our basement many times (but it was down there already when I bought the house).

Oh no! Just saw this. I hope everything is drying up really well!. Water damage is such a hassle to deal with.

Fortunately for me, I learned the first time, and the only things damaged were the rugs that took on most of the water. Everything else is stored off the floor on shelves.
I think it will dry by tomorrow. Since I'll be out of town for the weekend, I'll spray a bleach mixture and scrub the basement floor before I leave. It will sanitize and kill any junk that might think about growing, and I won't be breathing the fumes.
