In your mirror.
I'm cranky because

A few months back I was finally able to afford a new pair of glasses. Bifocals that I really needed. I was put on a blood pressure medication about 4-6 weeks ago and my new glasses no longer *work*. Apparently my vision changed so I'll need to get a new new script and new glasses. Crud.

I want to rant right now

Today is my enrolment, one of the subject was full in slot and before this day happens, i told my friend to call me last thursday if he was going to enrol, i wait for his call but he didn't call me. today, when i tell everyone about the fate of the subject, he told me everything that he already got it last thirsday and i was like "wth dude, you just leave me alone in the air".

Sometimes, i just need to be selfish, but i do not know how to be selfish that it cause me a lot of disadvantages. I need to learn how to be selfish sometimes.

More a rant---now then- Fl is a state which deals with tropical weather every year. History repeats. Old saying-- you are never safe from a tropical storm until it is well past your area, and even then, watch for a back track!

NOAA does an excellent job of predictions. Guess my county has an issue with it. Send those children to school. It's only a depression. So off they go this morning.

New alerts, this Colin is going to stronger and there will be higher winds and more than predicted rainfall.
Let' s send the school children home. Doing it in 3 stages each an hour apart. HS/ Middle/ Elementary.
Ever see a school bus in 40-50mph winds?
Understand the worst is expected after 3PM(think it will be sooner)usual dismissal time.
Ok, where are the caregivers, parents-- at work!
Why didn't they just call it a closed day, parents would have planned, children would have been safer.

Just a rant. Thankful I do not have any children riding those buses!

...wait until your dosing regimen is settled out....no reason to grab another pair of glasses, then your Doc say "let's try you on THIS now"....

It made no sense to put those kids in danger like that! I would have kept my kids home no matter what.

We don't have a bookstore in my area anymore, and the closest Barnes & Noble is a 45 minute drive..... So I have to take my chances that Walmart will get new books. Guess What?.......they did not get The Fireman.....didn't even order it. Hopefully, they'll have End of Watch today. I can always order from Amazon, but more often than not, the books arrive with damage......

Sundrop--- give MsMod the store # so she can report to publishers.
I ordered via Amazon same day as published-- delivery(FedEx overnight). Track shows it "delayed- exception shipment". Guess it sits in Tampa due to Colins.

I agree about Amazon and their packaging of the books. I complain each time.
Hope you find the book today.

Not really anger, but frustration...

It is going to be 90 today and RJ's mama dropped him off wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt. :facepalm_smiley: I'm going to have to go see what I have here for clothes for him.

And she has been mighty unfriendly the last few days. I don't get her. All it does is irritate me and make me appreciate how Brandon's new girl treats us even more. Night and day, those two.

I try really hard. I make myself available to watch RJ, have given up looking for a job to help her out (for free, but not like I would ask for payment anyway, he is my grandson.) I am saving her $300 a month by doing so, and letting go of our need for some extra money...I really could go on and on, but would it kill her to act friendly? Or thankful? Or anything resembling those things?

She probably doesn't want to be with Brandon, but can't stand the thought of anyone else making him happy..so she uses their son in small meannesses to get back at him,and anyone else connected..it really stinks,I have seen that kind of pettiness a million times, and it always makes me want to shake the idiot who is using their child..sorry she puts you through this Cat,but at least you have a chance to make memories with RJ that he will be able to remember as he grows up and becomes an adult.. :) oops I put my comment between yours and the glare smiley, sorry I don't know how to fix it! duh, that's me..

I am absolutely thankful for all the time I get to spend with RJ. It makes everything else worth it. I know there are lots of granparents who do not have that opportunity...my own parents don't see my kids often enough! Because of distance and schedules, all that life stuff.

I am grateful I do get the time with him that I do. :)
