I Am Happy Today Because . . .

I'm so happy today because my husband has a new job he starts in a week. So all going well we could be on our way to Maine in July.

A miracle occurred! The plum tree my uncle bought for my 50th birthday six years ago finally grew a plum!
See? Sometimes we need to look at the small things to get our joy.
I am happy today. Because I have my house back. My sister moved her last load today. No more locking everything up cause of sticky fingers. And no more of the son and here bickering. Not sure which one is older. Yes I feel relieved.
I love my sister but we just didn't grow up together and we are like opposites. I like who I am and not sure about some f her negative ways. So calm quiet will be nice.

I am happy because I was originally told the kids were coming by 6:30 tomorrow morning. But when they were picked up tonight I was told they won't be here until about 7:15. It's only 45 minutes....but it's a whole 45 minutes.

I am happy because a guy at work has agreed to switch shifts with me this Friday;
- he will work my 0815 to 1645 shift and I will do his 1600 - 2300 shift
- so I get a bit less pay but that is okay. I'm scheduled to do a 1430 to 2200 hour shift on Saturday and I just find it hard to switch over from days to afternoon shift like that.
I definitely owe this guy something baked with chocolate chips in it!

Plans are afoot. We might fly to New York and sped a bit of time there, too.
