I Am Happy Today Because . . .

Have a pair of jeans I struggled getting past my hips...
Put them on this morning and - Voila! The zipper zips.
Now they even seem a little baggy 'round the butt;
Evidence of progress from the calories I've cut.
I've still got a lot to lose before I reach my goal,
But at least I'm down to just a single belly roll.
Weight's been piling on for years. It's bound to take a while.
(Probably around the time that disco's back in style.)

A plant cutting someone let me take to root is actually growing roots.
I saw a band at Wallsend Diggers last night, I had about 12 beers, I caught the taxi home. I feel good right now because I know the secret of life. I'm also not depressed.
I had to go get fitted for a suit today, normally, I'd rather have a root canal. But, standing there all dressed up feeling ridiculous then seeing my fiancé walk up to me, give me a hug and a kiss and tell me she couldn't wait to marry me took the edge off. Later, as I was walking around a department store scanning in items for the registry as dictated by her, I watched her bouncing around the store like she was on cloud 9 and she was all smiles. I was asked my opinion on every item she looked at and she just seemed to smile at every turn. Made me feel good to be with her. I was actually able to concentrate on the registry tasks instead of watching everyone in the store.....kind of...lol
I am happy today because SKMB isn't a sexist forum that objectifies women.
I am happy today because, life is good, and because although Puddles did not win the final at 'American's Got Talent', he's won a whole new generation of fans. Including his (arguably) biggest fan, pickles! My G-d, I love this kid! He has Puddle's back. Good for him. He's a smart little guy too! Regard. Kevin Bacon. Lol.
