Which scene?

Here's what I PM'd Dana Jean. Please, if you haven't seen this movie but might want to, don't read the spoiler.

Okay. Here we go.

No, SERIOUSLY, don't read this if you have yet to see the movie:
It's been at least 20 years since I watched the movie. I just remember thinking, "Hey, maybe this is all in the guy's head what he's seeing," and one reason was because he was in every frame.

Then there was just a short little scene where he leaves, and people are left in the room looking at each other. I don't know if they even said anything. But my quick reaction was, "Well, no, I guess it's not in his head, because he can't be there to observe that."

So that was offputting to me, almost like they were trying to throw me off with a little cheat there.

I hope that makes sense. Like I said, it's been a long time since I saw it.

Jason and the Argonauts, with LilMan :) We have such fun with the Ray Harryhausen movies :) This one has the best skeleton army battle.

I tried to watch We Are What We Are, but Netflix kept stalling on me so I gave up and watched Cigarette Burns again. I really think that might be John Carpenter's best movie.

Jason and the Argonauts is one of those I will watch every time I get the chance. That skeleton battle is also my favorite scene.

The Spectacular Now (2013)- Well-done romantic drama and coming-of-age movie about two high school seniors who fall in love: Sutter (Miles Teller) a charmer and party-goer who has no plans for the future, falls in love with the "nice-girl" next door, Aimee (Shailene Woodley). I enjoyed this movie a lot. I really love coming-of-age movies overall, and I thought this was one of the better recent contemporary "teen" dramas that have just been released, like The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Teller and Woodley give good performances and have great on-screen chemistry. Jennifer Jason Leigh and Kyle Chandler also have good, but small, roles.

TrueGeneration, if you haven't seen The Way, Way Back I think you would really like it. Great coming of age story. :smile2:

Loved that movie. The teen actor was really convincing, and Steve Carrell played the bad guy well too.
My son and I have been watching The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, so we watched the first Men in Black tonight. He loved it...tomorrow-MIB II.

I've always loved Ray Harryhausen, partly because his work was always so excellent, and partly because I liked the types of movies he worked on.

The Experiment (2010)-Saw this on Netflix last night. Thought it was just OK. Good actors in it, though, starring Adrien Brody and Forest Whitaker. It's about a group of men who volunteer for a psychological study where they spend two weeks in a prison, being grouped into prisoners and guards. (So, it kind of resembles The Stanford Prison Experiment, which I believe is going to be made into a movie).

Oculus. The second time I've watched it. I just love stories about haunted mirrors (though I am really scared of mirrors themselves). The movie is okay, not great, but good enough.

The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death. As I was afraid, they made the second part much worse and less interesting that the original movie. Really, really sorry. I did not like the movie and will not watch it again.
