Grandma is not feeling well. We watched Sherlock Holmes, the one the Jude Law and Robert Downey, Jr. Good popcorn fun. Made me remember that I liked the second one better.

skimom2, I thought the '70s Invasion was a wonderful movie, right up to and through the end. Just completely creepy, compelling, and well done.

Atlantic City (1980) - Burt Lancaster, Susan Sarandon

Great performances from Burt and Susan. Burt Lancaster plays a "retired" small time gangster who thinks he was a bigger deal than he actually was (reminds me a little of the Al Pacino character in Donnie Brasco). He gets involved in a crime with Susan Sarandon's husband and it makes him feel relevant again. The rebirth of Atlantic City is the backdrop for the story.

There are two excellent Atlantic City movies that were done a few years apart and use Atlantic City as a character and show two different sides of Atlantic City. The King Of Marvin Gardens (1972 with Jack Nicholson) shows Atlantic City at the end of an era and Atlantic City shows the city at the beginning of a rebirth.
