I did my first Alien marathon, because I haven't seen yet all the movies. My short opinions about the movies:
Alien 1: I enjoyed it, however it was a little bit boring for me.
Alien 2: I liked this movie better than the first one, I think this is my favorite Alien movie.
Alien 3: Liked it too, but still, for me the 2nd one is better.
Alien 4: Ugh, well. It was my least favorite.

Prometheus: I watched this movie because some people said that it was a prequel to the Alien franchise. Well, the main character pissed me off like hell, so I didn't like this movie at all.

I tried to watch a couple scary movies last night. One was Carpenter's Halloween, the original, which kinda got the modern Indomitable Mad Slasher genre started. We liked it when it first came out, but had no desire to see it twice, and that got confirmed last night. Switched it off and went looking for another.

A flick that I can't find the title to, but a younger Viggo Mortensen played a son in a house of gore with a mom in a wheelchair who spoke through an electronic voice thingie. When I tuned in, they were nailing a girl's hands to chair arms and dragged in either a corpse or an unconscious person she knew, and they were setting up tools to flay him, or something. She did a good acting job of being terrified and such.

Did not like and turned it off. Sorry, guys. Horror movies apparently just ain't my thing anymore.

Then you'll like The Devil's Rejects, Rob Zombie's follow up movie. Too Sadistic for me, and the mood of the movie is like living in a nightmare. I don’t think I could watch it twice.

Yesterday I watched Scaramouche (1952) and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (2012). Both enjoyable.

Yea that movie (Devils rejects) is crazy.

Rush (2013)-Directed by Ron Howard, this centers around the rivalry between race-car drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda. I don't know anything about race-car driving, but it was such a compelling drama and story. Strong performances by Chris Hemsworth (Hunt) and especially Daniel Bruhl (Lauda). Really glad Bruhl got recognition for this role! I liked Bruhl ever since Inglorious Basterds and he stars in some really great foreign movies like The Edukators and Goodbye, Lenin. I would like to see him in more U.S. mainstream movies and/or international movies.
