Well, some people didn't show up, so we couldn't do all the planned scenes. Filming with other people will be wrapped up this coming Friday + another day, probably three or so weekends from now.

If you need another actor, I'm ready. I've been practicing my line. It's a 19 hour flight from where I live so I need a little notice. Also, I require my own trailer with a star on the door. The crew can't speak to me or make eye contact with me. Other than that, I'm pretty easy to work with.

Do you do makeup? You can be my makeup artist. If I'm going to play a teenager, I'm going to need a lot of makeup. Bring everything you got. ;-D
How's this?

(there were so many other examples but... I didn't want to post real people trying to get it right, it felt mean. )

If all goes according to plan, I should have all filming for Merrick done by the 9th of August.

I find myself laughing at the past version of me's naivety.

I do not know when I am going to finish filming. It could be as late as 6 weeks from now. The uncertainty of it is what sucks. If it was set in stone that in 6 weeks, I would wrap up filming, then I'd be cool. But it isn't set in stone, because it's not a professional production, I'm not paying anyone, it's all volunteer-work, and there's no schedule to be followed, or a contract saying someone has to turn up.

I could plan for weeks to film on a certain day, then one day before hand, someone's obscure grandma they've never heard of decides to pick then to come to Australia, so little Jimmy can't go filming, and that's another weekend down the drain.

It's all very draining. I mean, I'm loving making the film, hardships and all, and I'm not blaming anyone, I know sh*t gets in the way of things, but still...... grrrr. It's very frustrating. Maybe this is kinda what having a child is like.

Oh boy, you are growing up fast... some kids take yeeeeeeeeeeeears to get anywhere near your enlightenment! :)

This experience is giving you soooo much. Hang in there, remember the journey is just as important as the destination.

Do you want me to send you a Wah-mbulance? ;;D All of this is just giving you the experience you'll need when dealing with the Hollywood stars with HUGE egos when you're making those mega-blockbusters in another 10-12 years.
