I'm trying to think what wine would pair well with fried pig scraps.

It's the scraps of pig parts that they don't use in other pork products, mixed with fillers, formed into a brick, then sliced up and fried.

Now, I might be persuaded to whip up a BBQ hash, if someone else is making the coffee! Plain, regular, strong! Maybe a shot of Bailey's on the weekends!

I had a mediocre Starbucks this morning. Their standard brew is pretty dull but some of the special ones they have one from time to time aren't bad. There's one called Kati Kati that I sometimes pick up a bag of if I'm passing. I only ever order a tall Americano in Starbucks anyway, I like my coffee to taste like coffee and I don't need enough to drown a person in to get a jolt. I have a nice Java brewing in the cafetière as we speak

When did we get to the point where they look at you kinda funny when you order just a plain, high-test coffee, no sugar, no foofiness? (I’ll add my own cream, thank you very much.) I am finding that I need to go to a convenience store just to get a cup of coffee anymore, and even then it’s a hunt and search proposition because of the dozen offerings, none of which is “Regular.”. My kingdom for the days when our only choices were “Regular” and “Decaf.”
