I'm finished with season 2 of Z Nation and caught up with The Path, and now I'm at loose ends for something to watch tonight (been reading and librarian-ing all day, so I need a word break). Tomorrow is an all-day field trip with LilMan, so I should go to bed but....I DON'T WANNA.
My kiddo has a half day today.
Why the hell does the elementary school need an early dismissal because the high school prom is tonight???

Pouring rain and windstorm. All day fieldwork planned for my son's 'hippie school' (as my older kids call it 
). Everyone please do whatever good juju you can that the trip is cancelled I can't see how having scads of kids investigating metal train tracks (they're learning about the meeting of the rail lines at the original site where they ceremonially met) during a storm can be a safe idea.
On the positive side, I woke up to the wonderful smell of lilacs from the bush outside my window. May that sustain me through this crappy, crappy day.

This upcoming Monday will be the last time I step onto my college campus until the fall. During the summer, I am going to write like hell. I am currently outlining five novels to write over the next few months, two of them second drafts. In addition to those, I'll be churning out at least a dozen short stories and two plays to give to my drama teacher, who's essentially my aunt. I am tired of the lethargy. I am tired of my down-in-the-dumps attitude when it comes to writing. I want to get a lot of things done.
Do you eat it randomly - like you just get what you get? Or do you pick one caramel and then one cheddar? Or all the caramel and then the cheddar or visa versa? I love this stuff. I don't buy it every week. Maybe a couple times a year. Cheesy fingers!

Black lab looks just like my 'lil love CaseyAnne, who has gone to the clearing after many years of being loved .
CaseyAnne was the biggest spaz of a lab that could have been labbed.
