Hi there,

I'm Arnout from the Netherlands, as near as makes no difference 35 years old.
I registered on the old message board a couple of years ago, regularly visited it for a couple of months and even participated in a collective birthday present for Mr. King (for his 61st if memory serves, so that would be 2008), which unfortunately went todash. A couple of months later I somehow stopped visiting the message board.

But now I'm back! For as long as it takes.

As I like cars (currently own three, no Plymouths though), my mother recommended I should read Christine when I was about 13. "It's about a car that drives itself", she told me. I went "you mean like Herbie?" Mum: "yeah... not quite". Not quite indeed :D

Anyway, after that I read quite a lot of other Stephen King books, then for quite some time I didn't (didn't read books at all, for that matter).
The last couple of years though, I took up reading again, King books as well as others.
Currently I'm reading the Dark Tower series, did so before but ended it prematurely because I lacked #5 and didn't want to continu with #6, as I had already experienced that #4 makes a lot more sense after reading the first three.

So that's me, I'll try to stick around a bit longer this time.

Welcome back
Howdy. Christine was Herbie's mother's father's grandfather's second wife/car. Herbie's family is still scarred. Don't talk about her around Herbie. He loses his sh*t.

By the way - what have you been doing for seven years?

You're welcome! Although to be honest I don't have too much to do with those, did work at a flowerbulk exporting company once (in the office), but that's a long time ago. And I've never worn wooden shoes :secrets:

I used to have a pair of red wooden shoes with flower decorations - those were great! (back in the 90s) but I must have lost them when moving.

You would think they should be uncomfortable but weirdly enough they are not (as long as they fit properly),
We were in Holland in 1995 but I didn't buy any as a souvenir - it is a nice clean place though I found (especially since went there directly from Islamabad) :snicker:
