Im hanging in there i went and picked up his remains the other day, they also did a cast of his paw for me it also included a death certificate they called it a passing certificate. I kind of lost it again when i opened the package it came in and saw everything. Both animal hospital and my vet both offices sent cards to the house with all the staff signatures on them, that was tough. But like i say im trying to work through it,my boy had a big piggy bank with his own money in case he needed something or emegencies and i took it a donated that money on his behalf and his memory to a foundation that helps people get medical attention and such for there pets who cant afford it or need a little help with it for whatever reason. Id give anything to have my baby boy back i miss him so very much but im healing a little at a time.

That is an amazing tribute to Bob. When my cat, Bammers, passed, I had him cremated. When I picked up his remains, they gave me this necklace of half a broken heart. They then told me the other half of the heart was in the box with my cats cremains. I also lost it. I didn't know they did that and I just broke.

Behind you
I am so glad you posted, lowman.

I can not express into words how I know what you feel. I wish you healing and soon pain will pass, to go on to memories.

I planted a dogwood tree with the ashes of my beloved dog under.
I did not want to have the urn or can he was in. Kept it for a long while before I decided.
I gave him back to the earth, and watched the tree grow.

I still cry.

((lowman)) may your heart be at peace.

Thank you for your encouragement and kind words. Im also sorry to hear about your dog to,that was a really good idea how you did the tree and remains. Ill probably keep mine around at least for awhile so he can always be at home where he belongs, with his daddy.
