I've been fortunate in my career to have the opportunity to pick and choose the parts I play. I've also been lucky to always be involved with quality actors, quality directors, quality writers........another great loss, damn and double damn!.....

OMG, no no no! I hate hearing that. The Emerald Forest is one of my 5 favorite films of all time! And Southern Comfort, maybe the ultimate southern 'guy movie'. In the 80's/90's he had the potential of being a major film star. I always liked him. I hope he had a good life.

That pic is from Southern Comfort, one of my favorite movies of all time. He is awesome in that movie with Fred Ward, Peter Coyote, Keith Carradine. It's a really good flick if you haven't seen it.

I loved Southern Comfort. It has one of my favorite endings. What a shame to lose Powers Boothe.

Right there with you Zone D Dad!! Keith Carradine was fantastic too. And like ghost19 said, to lose him & Bill Paxton in the same year ... ! About 3 years ago I was talked into binge-watching 'Big Love' over several weekends, and it destroyed me! I loved it. Very underrated show. I really didn't like seeing Powers Boothe playing villains & character parts. And I LOVE Sin City. I just didn't like seeing him in it. For me, he just wasn't that guy. But hey, he stayed working & relevant in Hollywood. Quite an accomplishment. The tweets from friend & costars call him a family man. His Wikipedia says he met & married his college sweetheart in 1969. They were still married! 48 years? Wow. Tough mofo! Him & Paxton were guys who bore their aging masculinity with grace. Not always an easy thing to do. Try it sometime!
