From what I've read, Mr. King admired Rocky Wood very much personally and professionally. My prayers go out to his loved ones. My heart goes out to you, Ms. Mod, and to Mr. King. I'm so very sorry for the loss of your friend.
I've been following him on Facebook for a long time. I didn't realize things were as bad as they must've been.

The SK Universe lost one of it`s biggest stars. You shone bright, Rocky...may you rest in peace, hopefully you are in a better place now...
Death, however sad and ugly it is, has one thing going : The ones left behind, who knew the person, get closer to each other.
We know death is around every corner anyway, but when it does happen to someone we knew and loved - it brings us more together, we somehow love and care about each other even more. Maybe for a short time only, but it does happen, even though it might pass.

This is sad news. I didn't know much of him but I recently bought his book SK Uncollected on my Kindle. RIP Rocky and hugs to all that were close to him. (((((((((Marsha, Flake, Mr. King and everyone))))))))

The last time I saw him was in Atlanta in 2012 for the Ghost Brothers premiere. He was having difficulties then but still doing fairly well all things considered.. From recent pictures I'd seen he'd declined quite a bit since then but was the essence of grace in facing his disease and I never heard him utter a bitter word about his fate and as much as possible did not let it keep him down.
So sorry to hear this. Love to his family at this awful time.
This was the last time I saw Rocky -- at World Horror 2013 in New Orleans, with Dave Hinchberger, Chad Savage, and Glenn Chadbourne

This is not a good day. I never met the man, but he was a great and gentle person. He was much loved. He will be much missed. D*mn it!

I was saddened to hear the news today, and now I'll never get the chance to meet Rocky. He was always the voice of reasonable authority in the Horror Writers Association, a friend to animals, and truly one of the good guys. RIP, Rocky Wood.
