For those of you who don't know, Rocky was an expert on Stephen's work and authored several books about it. He was diagnosed several years ago with ALS and today passed away from complications. He will be missed. Till we meet at the clearing, Rocky.

Oh no! He was such a kind man. I really enjoyed our chats. RIP.

King had this to say in the Author's Note to Doctor Sleep: "Rocky Wood was my go-to guy for all things Shining, providing me with names and dates I had either forgotten or plain got wrong. He also provided reams of info on every recreational vehicle and camper under the sun (the coolest was Rose's EarthCruiser). The Rock knows my work better than I do myself. So very sorry to hear of Mr. Wood's passing. Sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
Be at peace, Rocky. Prayers and thoughts for the family. He will be missed greatly-- but held in our hearts. A sad, sad day.

From what I've been told he passed today at 5 PM Australian time. He was such a gentle soul.
Some of you may also remember that Steve dedicated his Ice Bucket Challenge to Rocky.
