I'm jealous--would love to see Sting! Have a fantastic time and be sure to tell us all about it.
He puts on a great show! The last time I saw him was in Park City, probably a decade ago. It's cold up on the mountain, even in the middle of summer, but he did the whole thing in this diaphanous silk shirt while we were wrapped in blankets--lol. For the encore, one of the guitarists refused to come back out on stage and Sting had a lot of strong language for him. I imagine that might have been that particular guy's last show with Sting :D

I want to go see the Happy Together Tour 2016 at a local venue on June 23, that includes Flo & Eddie (The Turtles), Chuck Negron (Three Dog Night), Mark Lindsay (Paul Revere & the Raiders), The Cowsills, Gary Puckett and The Spencer Davis Group, but my wife would rather go see Joan Jett & the Blackhearts there on the following day. As usual, I’ll probably lose out. :(

I wanted to see Ray LaMontagne, but his tickets are INSANE. He played here a couple of years ago for free, but now the cheapest tickets are almost $200. So that's a no go. Now I'm angling for Ben Harper tickets as an anniversary present :) They're not on sale yet, but I expect them to be between $50-75 each. I remember when a $20 ticket was for the best seats at a headliner--YIKES.

I did buy a ticket for the Dave Matthews concert. It will be the first time I've ever gone to a concert by myself and hoping it will be a good experience so that I'll feel more confident about going to others, just in case Sting ever makes it here again. I missed him when he was here in 2013. :(

You know, I've never gone to a concert alone, either, and I think I've only been to one movie alone. That's weird to think of! I envy you that one--DMB puts on a wonderful show, and usually long. He seems to genuinely love performing. Lots of free-form, quasi-jazz noodling last time I saw him; it was interesting!

I can picture Ms Mod now... Going stag to the concert, free of all inhibitions, and grovin’ to the music. :)

th

Steve: What did you do this weekend?
Ms Mod: Don’t ask!

Wasn't one of our members going to that show? Maybe you guys can meet up and have an exceptionally wonderful time (that doesn't involve any jail time or pulling out the wood chipper)?

HollyGolightly mentioned that she wanted to go but it was at the venue closest to her, not Bangor. I think we might have each had to bring bail money if we went together--but it would be worth it.

If you couldn't raise bail, I could always bring you a cheesecake with a little sumpin'-sumpin' inside (like a metal file). =D

It was a gift to me from Jordan while he was on a trip to New Orleans so I guess people do. :smile2: In this case accurate representation of the intended victim is not a requirement--it says so right on the instructions. ;)
Jordan must have enjoyed Mardi Gras a little too much. ;) And it needs instructions? (And you actually read them?) :umm: All I can say is men don't need no stinking instructions. :)
