...here's the nurse in me coming out...was the redness in your vision, as I assume?..it could be anything from a subconjunctival hemorrhage to an issue with the retina...also, make sure you get your blood pressure checked...hopefully sooner rather than later...
Yes in the vision. You can't tell if you look at the eye except by me wearing sunglasses. And closing my eye.

I guess i should have asked Scotts question before I jumped on the subject. It sounds like what you have is different than what I had. Over half of the white of my eye was blood filled. Looked like it was going to burst and bleed all over. Awful looking and it hurt but it didn't change my vision. Keep us updated and hang in there!

...that's the subconjunctival hemorrhage I was referring too honey...now that I know it's in her vision and not visible to another's eye, you need to get somewhere and quickly...you have had at the very least a small blood vessel rupture in or around the iris or lens...you need to let an Opthamologist evaluate you to make sure nothing is else is going on...it's certainly a small bleed, that hopefully has stopped-since you've had some minimal relief, but do not delay young lady...

Yikes - agreed with GNT - get somewhere quickly! I get a scary eye once in while, especially after a cold when I spend a week sneezing my brains out, but that's entirely different than what you're going through. Why did they put you off until Dec 12th for Heaven's sake?

Saturday I was reading and got a headache. My one eye starting having a big red bright blob of red. I can hardily see out of it and is limiting my time reading, watching tv and on the computer. I called my eye doctor,I see him Dec.12th. WTH seems so long to go like this. Thank goodness my other eye is strong. So my friends ,I will be taking a bit of time off. I will try to stop by at least once a day or every other day.Everyone have a great day.

Woke up thinking about you today. Have you seen a Dr. yet?

I was going to suggest poking your eye with one of your fingers, taking 2 jelly beans and see if it's better when you wake up...but I think GNT's advice is probably more medically sound.......get well soon.:)
