Dynamite was also...perhaps it still is...made from bat and bird guano. There was a local business, Atlas Powder, that supplied dynamite to the local mines...we're talking a bunch of dynamite. They had these things called "angel buggys" that they used to move the material from one place/building to another...and it was all hush-hush...guys who worked there acted like they were working for...something. (Dupont Spinners...the fishing tackle.)
