Won one of those bottles at the carnival way back when. 7-Up. No longer have the bottle. Can't say I never won anything. Ring-toss maybe or that game you try to get a coin to land on an up-ended something or other. And who hasn't blown over the top of a pop bottle? I did. Anyone ever take a chug of tobacco juice, here, you want this last swallow? Pepsi has more fiber than Coke, just sayin'. Or peanuts? Anyone ever put peanuts in a Coke almost empty? There a word for that? Goobers? Or is that something else?

...oh hells to the yeah!...and those stretched/mondo warped bottles?...you weren't cool unless you had a candle that melted in multiple colors all over that sucker!...

Yeah, my aunt Cheryl had the warped bottles with the candles, beaded curtains, pop-tab curtains, lava lamp, black light posters, incense...she smelled like a spice rack.

Have you ever been to Epcot? They have a place where you can taste soda from different countries.

I'd give anything for the watermelon soda - I can't remember where it's from. It's so good. I'd almost go back to Epcot just for the soda experience.

I used to call it "Pop" when I was a kid in Northern KY. Then I moved to the south and it become "Coke" - every soft drink was "Coke". Only in the past 15 years or so did I begin saying Soda. I have no idea why. It just feels right.

I had a crocheted hat made with Mountain Dew cans when I was a kid. Something like this but it was the 70s, so the old MD logo:

Those are all of my soda stories.

I about cried when that come out. I was living on Coke and Twinkies then (thank god for having a teenager's metabolism), and that stuff was just gross. Pepsi in all but name. Tragic ;)
I tried New Coke for the first time at Live Aid in 1985. It was extremely hot that day and if you bought a can of New Coke from the Coca Cola stand they handed you a New Coke/Live Aid hand fan (I think I still have it somewhere). Don’t think I had another Coke until Coke Classic came out.

Ha! New Coke and Live Aid! That's the 1980s in a nutshell right there!
