Hi All! Just thought I would post this cool item that was in the Parade magazine today, it's the one that comes with the Sunday paper. In it, there was a poll taken called 'Which Famous Person Would You Most Like To Invite Over For Dinner?'
23% Ellen DeGeneres
20% Pope Francis
18% Stephen King
17% Bill Clinton
11% Mark Cuban
10% Beyonce Knowles
*I don't know who the missing 1% voted for*
Pretty cool, eh?

That is very cool indeed. And I hope that at least some of that is because he's a cool, rational, creative person, and not because they want to hear Theatre of the Macabre at dinner.

I'm rather troubled that Ms. DeGeneres ranks above the new Pope and that there's only one world leader, past and present, to crack the results.

What a Motley list that is. Beyonce and Bill Clinton in the same breath as Pope Francis?

That is cool. What is said is, that I saw this article and glanced through it. This part had Pope Francis highlighted and I looked to see how was above him and then skimmed on, totally missing Sai King! And yes, it's a pretty random list.

Now see, I like Ellen. I think she would be very interesting and very nice. I wouldn't mind having dinner with her at all. Not sure I'd be all that interested in some snooty politician or world leader. I don't know that you would get an honest conversation out of them. I would want to make a connection, not listen to a biography about them.

Would you really pick her over everyone else on the planet though?

I'd have Tony Blair over for dinner... so I could poison him!

Hmm, maybe not. But she wouldn't be the worst choice either. She has been a huge inspiration and trailblazer to a lot of gay and lesbian people, so I could see especially that community finding it an honor to dine with her.
