I go to the gym on a regular basis (around four times a week). That involves me going first outside to go to the gym, when I am there I do interact with other human beings. In fact, my life is in their hands at times. Not sure if I consider it a ”hobby” though, more than anything it is something I need to do, otherwise I'd go completely off the rails.

I used to do a lot of Cycling - thought i was Stephen Roche, the way i took corners(like a pro) there is nothing like cycling with the wind in your face loved it.
Was Steven Roche that Scottish cyclist they made a movie about? He struggled with depression/anxiety etc. and had a very unique bicycle he had designed himself? I watched that movie with Andy and I enjoyed it - it was quite different.

Good for you! I used to go to the gym on a regular basis and had a routine set up for me by Dave, the fitness instructor there.

I was doing cardio and weights. I must confess that for quite some time I have gotten away from it. (Sickness, joint pain, time off given by my doctor etc.) Now I am seeing a chiropractor three times a week after work but I really need to go back to my routine of squeezing in gym time after work.

(I guess I could make my chiro appointment an hour later which would give me time to do my routine).

You are right - sometimes it feels like the only thing to make one feel normal again - a good sweat and using your muscles is very therapeutic.

yes...ghost hunting...its a hobby , Ive done it since I was 111....I have never seen anything
NOTHINGGG !!! not even a cold spot !!!!

I've never seen anything, but I didn't hear what sounded very much like a door creaking and then slamming shut in the ruins of an abbey. There are no doors anywhere in the ruins at all. There is a video on youtube (nothing to do with me) filmed in exactly the same spot, which shows something very faint moving in the direction of where I heard the sound during my visit. At the end of the video you hear exactly the same sound that I heard.

Hobbies vary with the seasons...will be starting my vegetable garden soon, maybe in another week and that takes quite a bit of time. Being self-employed doesn't leave much free time and after 25 years as such I don't know what I'm missing...free time. Summer, I'll start the grill when I get home and weed the garden as the coals warm...put on something to grill...and weed some more...does beer drinking count? Getting older sucks but there's always beer. I'll have an open beer by the grill working up a sweat for me and I'll budget some time to take a good long pull between grilling and weeding. Reading. That's a given. Writing when I can find time. I've enjoyed fishing, stream fishing, walking them...float tube fishing on small inland lakes. Hunting...come fall I thoroughly enjoy sitting in a tree for an hour or two after work. Great way to unwind. That continues on through the end of December and the tool I use changes with the months...cross-bow, rifle, muzzle-loader, compound bow. And I like to get out in the bush regardless of the season and walk around...snowshoes winter...boots or sandals warmer weather I'll pick up garbage that other knuckleheads leave behind shake an innocent tree and then apologize. No one is watching. Save those satellites up there. I'm fond of tinfoil, too.

Me too! 4 times a week, and sometimes 5 if I can find the time. Keeps me sane, and it's good for the entire family if I maintain my sanity. I've only in the past year discovered strength training and now I wonder how I ever lived without it. I actually felt my hamstring for the first time in my life a couple of weeks ago.

Firearms are my main hobby. I very much enjoy putting rounds down range. I like handguns and shotguns, but I'm most at home with my rifles. The action of loading, sighting, firing, the whole ritual, it's calming and focuses my mind. I love seeing the round hit exactly where I meant it to on the target.
I relate. Some of my favorite times in the Marines were spent at the rifle range, and I did very well. But times change. And I'm not being political here. Just a factual statement: There's no place in my life for a firearm.
