I recently reread "Strawberry Spring," and was wondering: is the idea of a "strawberry spring" an actual Northeastern term, or did Mr. King invent it for the story?

Either way, it's a cool story.

Slightly dissappointed. I really like the story though. It was a forgotten pleasure. Ah well.

It's kind of strange - whenever I read anything about Strawberry Spring, I'm always reminded of how for years I thought that the Coldplay song Strawberry Swing had the same name as King's story. In one of his Pop of King articles, King reviews the album it's on and I wonder if he misread it as well? /random tidbit

    GNTLGNT The idiot is IN

...it is now part of the "urban Dictionary" so it just HAS to be a real term...

In a somewhat related vein… the Full Strawberry Moon is the name given to the full moon in June.

Snozzberry Spring sounds like a much more believable real life term. Although perhaps not as appetizing.

I LOVED Strawberry Spring, and I would love to see it made into a MAJOR MOTION PICTURE! It's FUNNY, I always WANT to REFER to it as SPRING HEEL JACK! :)

It sounds like a term that "old timers" would say. I always thought it was a real thing. Interesting...

Agreed. Great story. Nothing more horrifying than to meet the monster and find out it's me.

The alarm clock that awakens you with a smell instead of a sound ... how about the Artichoke Alarm Clock?
