 I'm that way, too. I rarely proofread, being certain I've hit the keys I've meant to, and the message ends up very humorous to the person receiving it. Sometimes autocorrect is invoked - in my defense, sometimes unnecessarily - and the resulting message is downright charming. Fortunately, the folks I text tend not to be code mavens. I have recently learned what TTYL means. Talk to you later.

Thanks for that. "Sexting" codes??? Never even knew they existed.

Oh great, now something else I have to worry about. :(

It's a setting on your phone that recognises what you are about to type and fills it in for you... All my friends use it but I can't stand it. However even that can go wrong. Facebook posts seem to demonstrate this fairly well. I've seen some hilarious ones on there. My friends seem to think I'm so old fashioned 'cos I don't use it, assume I should still be using a stick in the sand..

I used to think LOL meant lots of love... had no idea until fairly recently what ROFL meant... I'm so old school I don't even use predictive text. Which is a bit of a bummer 'cos I can't blame auto correct for my spelling bloopers.
I thought my niece was calling me "Little Old Lady" when she first used it with me.
