Like she would take two minutes to spend with me. Too busy, too popular, too much going on. She had her iphone stolen from her locker at school. The police recovered it in the boys bathroom in a toilet. Have been dealing with all the nonsense all week. Probably have spent 10 hours on it already. No thanks, no gratitude. I really am starting to hate that age.
Oh....
That was good. And sad. My childhood was so good, I visit it often in my memories because I was outside on the move!
I agree, I would leave the house in the morning, come home for lunch, and then go out again until the street lights started coming on.That was good. And sad. My childhood was so good, I visit it often in my memories because I was outside on the move!
Yeah, those years when the only time you matter to your kids is when they need something seems to be the most difficult of all.You and me both. Let's take reassurance that it is only 4-5 years until they go out on their own. From there, probably a couple more years before they realise we actually are fairly intelligent or downright brilliant.
same here!I agree, I would leave the house in the morning, come home for lunch, and then go out again until the street lights started coming on.
That is hard. And it hurts. You just hope you've laid a good groundwork that they will come back full circle. Hang in there. Damn teenagers are tough creatures.Yeah, those years when the only time you matter to your kids is when they need something seems to be the most difficult of all.

In those days all my friends' moms acted as surrogate moms for all the kids. It was kinda natural for them to. I think it was an unspoken plan. That was life as a child. And also a time when neighbors watched out for the children who played outside.
Oh, you stay on your point alright. Hence "Obstinately Preposterous". I will give you credit for the courage it takes for you to stick something, even when it's been summarily dismantled with fact and reason. You forgot "On Point"
I thought of another that applies to me... “Overly Patient“Oh, you stay on your point alright. Hence "Obstinately Preposterous". I will give you credit for the courage it takes for you to stick something, even when it's been summarily dismantled with fact and reason.
