Happy Hump Day!

I am so having one of the Mexican sweetbreads with my coffee today. That looks delicious! Have to get groceries today, my cupboards are pretty bare...and you know what they say about shopping hungry! I will be like that lady in the commercial with the bag of cheese doodles. ;-D

Will have RJ today right in the middle of the day, so will probably take him with me. Not enough time to go before he gets here, and won't be enough time to go after he leaves, before school gets out. Kids have started counting down to their Easter/Spring break late next week! They will have 6 days off, counting the weekend. I am looking forward to Easter dinner! Yum.

Have a really great day, everyone! Sending big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:

Sigmund It is so nice to see you in the Cantina!! I miss seeing you here. :cheerful:

I was a little confuzzled when I saw a new Cantini. Then I saw that they closed bigger threads. Ahhh. Now it makes sense :)
New place looks great!

Lord love wisdom of that nurse! I was facing another terrible night's restless lack of sleep thanks to the itching, but I remembered the wise words of the nurse that looked after me yesterday. She said to keep my bedroom cold. Me, I like to sleep all snuggled in, toasty and warm, with three or four blankets. It's just how I sleep. But I remembered her saying that and threw off the blankets. The relief was almost instant. Heat makes the itch flare up. The colder air calmed it, at least enough for me to get a whopping 6 hours sleep. I'll take it!
The splotches are s till there, but I'd swear that they look better. I think I'm on the mend!

We have a cold front coming through and thunderstorms all weekend so...some caldo, maybe some chile con carne and ....SCARY MOVIE MARATHON!!!

(That doesn't include the shopping, laundry, household chores etc. those life things that insist in getting done. )

Hey, Cat!

I have to do a bunch of shopping myself. I'd rather do it sooner than later. Hate crowds.

Hugs to you, sweet one.

That makes three of us. I am heading out the door now to grocery shop ( also windy and storming, snow tomorrow) I am also starving/craving bacon. ......I feel like the dog in the commercial " Bacon, Bacon, I'd get it myself but I don't have thumbs" Have a safe shopping trip everyone!! I'll try to hit the real bacon and not the jerky treats lol!!

Another trick I learned over the years Lepp is to hose down the patch of poison ivy or oak on your skin with spray deodorant. Poison oak and ivy dries up and goes away faster if it's kept dry and spray deodorant is also cold so it gives you some temporary relief and also keeps moisture from getting to it.

I have a Yu-Gi-Oh card tournament to take my son to this weekend at one of the local gaming lobbies here in town, actually I'm taking both my son and his best friend. They aren't old enough for me to drop off yet so I'm taking my Nook to read as I sit thru three hours of some kind of card game that I completely don't understand. I used to play Dungeons and Dragons in the early to mid 80's but everything was in a module back then and it was all done on paper. I am so friggin' old.....My wife has to work Saturday but I have a sneaking suspicion she would have found a way out of this event no matter what.........:sneaky:
