Oh no, it was posted with love for you. And that is a good thing. I just get so nervous when people allow their animals to do things that amuse them, but could cause injury to the pet.

I so dislike the animal segments on shows like Funny video-- those animals suffer at the enjoyment of the "owner" and I dislike the word owner too. I guess my mood is in a negative towards non caring humans. Have just rescued an adorable about 10-12 week old female calico kitten. Such a sweety. In process of acclimating her to the "zoo".

mcpon14 -- the Ka-Tet Cantina is a place for all of us to come and share anything. Think of it as a family style inn and this is the big warm and cozy family room. On Thursday Buckwheat and Pyro, the two resident snakes, come to visit. Since MsMod doesn't like snakes, I place a sign out to warn all when they are here. Fear not, they sit in the corner and chill.
Members bring breakfast goodies, tea and coffee - sandwiches. In Spring the doors are open to the gardens.
We place a candle in the window to help guide those who go Todash. Come join us.......

I was going to quote that line, but I'm a LAY-dee... Old Van is tremendous. I don't like every album, but I so love that even today, at 70, he's willing to always try new things.

I don't mean to cast aspersions on anyone who posts anything meant innocently to please a member or members when I say that I personally can't stand people who think that animal abuse is funny (I do not mean that I think any member here is an animal abuser or thinks that it is funny). I'm being blunt(!), but to me it's abuse to stick a dog in a shirt sleeve, then video it trying desperately to get out. That's not funny. The dog is not Jerry Lewis, it is a desperately scared creature. Shoot, I think it's abusive to dress an animal up for Halloween, or for any other reason. I confess that I first posted the cat vs cucumber video because it's always fun to watch a cat jump ten feet in the air, but to intentionally scare the sh!t out of any animal is animal abuse, made morally more despicable when in order to impress others to gain acceptance or notoriety or simply because they're cruel-minded, which is why these people who post such things on YouTube and elsewhere do it.

I can see videoing your pet and it inadvertently does something funny, or even videoing something funny it does habitually. But to cause it to do something is not funny, especially certain things.

I will try to answer, but I am far from an authority on the subject:

It is anyone on the board who wants to pop in to the thread, pull up a bean bag chair and just chill. Sit around in the virtual Cantina, have a hot drink by the fire (when it is cold out) or a cool beverage if you're hot.

Discuss whatever you like - what is going on in your life etc. I think the only rule (as usual) is to try to be polite to each other and respectful of others.

I will defer to Spideyman on this - she is here most every day
