Poor little Louie was scared to death last night, so Rachel gave him some doggie melatonin/calming thing she bought at Petco. He was still loopy this morning! If she has to do that again, she's not giving him more than half a chewy (it called for a full piece for dogs up to 20 lbs., but that was obviously too much for him). I pretty much despise home fireworks. Dangerous and too scary for pets (and some vets).

skimom2 ==for next year or summer thunder. I might suggest a Thunderhirt. Also a more natural stress relief is Bach Rescue Remedy--no side effects, and please do be careful medicating tonight if needed.
Gun fire and fireworks in my area started Thursday night and I sure will continue through Monday night/ and any leftovers will be next weekend. Not good. Calming vibes for all critters.

Thank you for the suggestions! I didn't know she had bought the chewys until she was telling me about it yesterday morning. I'm wary about giving the dogs anything, especially Louie because he is so small (though I know 7 lbs is by no means a small Yorkie-a friend has one that is just over 2 lbs!). He did okay last night. Rachel was working and then out with a friend, so he snuggled down next to me all night, except for one short period where I had to pick up my younger daughter from work. Then Louie went in and woke up Mark to keep him company until I got home--lol.

my best bad headache cure (I get sinus headaches) is two tylenol and two advil

Good morning!
I had a beautiful post about last night but I left it in another thread. Status of my trip to CO with Danny: willing and game! Have vehicle and gas. My work decided to cut my hours this week but I'm not stressing. (I'm lying) I can do this. I'll leave Wednesday to make it for the 21st.
