Good morning, y'all! Today is my last day of classes for a few months. I'm bummed to be leaving the family for an entire Saturday, but hopeful they will do something for me - like clean the house. Maybe the Ogre will remember to feed them. I got home late yesterday and the youngest told me she'd had pickles and Doritos for lunch. Really. Have a good Saturday. It looks like it might rain here - that would be nice.

Setting up for BDIL's 40th. Educators will be present. Neighbors will be present. It's BYOB, but there's still plenty to fix up. Granddaughters are decorating the joint. I'll be fixing chili, quesadilla wedges, little veggie/cheese things on toothpicks, fruit tray with yogurt dip, and three kinds of Jell-O shots, which I'm tentatively naming Forty Fire, Math Baiter (she teaches math curricula), and Little Sociopath.

Have a grand Saturday, everyone.

Happy Saturday all! Going to be a relatively quiet day here, night shift time again. Will have RJ for a while tonight. The little stinker is not walking yet, but getting braver. He just isn't quite ready to let go and do it, but I have no doubt he could. He forgets and lets go and claps his hands or bounces to music all the time, and is steady on his feet. Will be any day, I think. :)

Hope you all have a really great day, whatever the plans may be. Sending big hugs and positive vibes to all!

Love it - grown up goodie bags! Let's go.
My mother hasn't called me in years - we talk, often, but I always call her. Yesterday and today she called me repeatedly while my phone was on silent because I'm in a class. Le sigh.... you know what this means? She's going to think I always ignore her calls... blah...blah...blah... this is funny turn of events isn't it? When I call her back, she won't answer because she's ignoring because she thinks I ignored her. Around we go! Is this my guardian angel's idea of a joke? Very funny mister.:m_hilarious::m_phone:
I think our mothers were separated at birth, too.

Everyone is welcome on the boozebus (I'm thinking we need a bus now).

Today is going to be a fun one. The Man is on his fourth or fifth straight of work with no days off (poor guy), so I've been solo parenting and house/car duty. Farmer's market, food shopping, kid running, mom visiting, house cleaning, lawn mowing, and MAYBE a few minutes at the street festival that will be going on today. Oh, and stuff due at the library, so a quick trip there, too. I have a manuscript on a deadline, too, so there goes sleep (lol). Cue my favorite Cage the Elephant song:

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

What a week TGIF I am off from work this weekend and I am super happy about that. So it's confirmed we are having the
parents meeting on Sunday, my boyfriend's parents come and meet my parents, I am so happy about this and yes a little
nervous too. :) I and my friend is having a girls night tomorrow, it's a while since I have done anything fun with my friend so
I look forward it. Still warm but cloudy today, I hope for good weather this weekend and not too cold or rainy.

Have a good day and take care of you, be well and stay safe.

(((all in need or not)))
Wow! a formal "meet the parents" meet and greet type of thing. I like this - it sounds sort of old fashioned and formal, but to me it is a great tradition - good for you! I am sure everyone will get along famously.

Have a wonderful weekend. Me - I gotta go get ready to go to the bowling. It has started up again like it does every September for my son. Take care! :tickled_pink::encouragement:

Happy Saturday to those for whom the sentiment is applicable!!! I safely assume most of you have today off work and say to you good job all week and enjoy the gift of today which you deserve. I myself must work tonight but it's a case I like and it's only eight hours, a rare, short shift in home care, and one I much prefer to longer ones.

Quite an experience at Wal-mart today. We took the son to get signatures from the Titans Cheerleaders and Tpac. Hubby and son went to the restroom ,some guy was unconscious, his nephew was yelling and of course my hubby stayed with them until the paramedics came. So my son is scared. He had a few rough looks on in face in his pics with the cheerleaders. I sure hope the man is ok and that my son forgets this experience quickly.Just a freightening thing for kids.
