The Darkside of the Moon (England really)
Good to be back everyone. Had a lovely quiet Christmas with family. Work tomorrow (only 4 hours though!). I really do despise New Year over here in the UK (so many people so desperate to show they're having an amazing time, making "New Year, New Me" resolutions), so I will be ignoring it, staying in with a nice big steak and a bottle of wine. It's normally tickets only round the pubs round here, they jack the prices right up and it's a complete rip off. I'm clearly getting old....Anyway, however you see the new year in, I hope you enjoy, and it means so much to be back here again. (((((((All in need or not))))))))
I'm glad I'm not the only one who hates the supposed new year holiday, it's just a day - and that is how I usually treat it, a number ticking over is not cause for celebration for me. I shall be in reading/watching telly/playing my ps3 etc.

As for Christmas, I never got to spend it with my Brother and his family as planned, but it was still a nice day, alot nicer than my Brothers' - he sadly spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day in hospital with his youngest Son with pnumonia - poor little guy is only 1 and 1/2. He hasn't had much luck at Christmas with his 2 boys, 3 years ago his 1st was born 6 days before Christmas but had to stay in until Christmas Eve with a bad chest. Anyway his youngest is getting better now and we are going over this week for a late Christmas dinner and to give them our presants.

Wow, we are back! :)

@HollyGolightly: I am glad you bugged me!

@Jojo87 : I am glad Jane is ok, that was quite a scare...

@The Nameless: I always feel so bad for the little ones when they are sick. I am relieved that your nephew is doing better.

I am just here for a short time, but I had to stop by and say hi and Happy New Year to everyone.

I am in Berlin. Again. Waiting for my stepson to arrive from Sweden. I am still feeling a little under the weather, which is annoying. I am planning to take stepson to see Unter den Linden when he arrives, and hopefully he will get a glimpse of Brandenburger Tor. They have closed all access to the Tor today, because there will be a big party later, and only those with tickets can access the area.
We have tickets for another party tonight, inside, with a lot of choices for us. 15 clubs with different music, I am sure we will be able to agree on something :)

Happy New Year, everyone! Enjoy, relax and/or have fun, no matter what you do - alone, with family, at parties. And all the best for 2014!

Good luck to your brother - it sounds like he could use some! We will not go out either for New Year's Eve - it is very cold here right now so we will just stay close to the fire and have a nice hot wood fire to start the new year off. My favourite thing is a fire on a cold night.

Happy 2014 to all and best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year!

Here's a pic for the gals

(((((((Nameless and family)))))))). Have a lovely evening everyone. Just finished work, got 3 halves of cow (not sure what cow has 3 halves but still) for me, man and boy and some lovely wine and will see the new year in tucked up at home, out of the horrendous weather. Blowing a gale and peeing down, I've already got one leak in the roof, might have a few more before the night's out!!

And also some non-alcoholic kind for those of us who don't drink.

May all have a Happy New Year!! I've been off from work today but have to go back tomorrow. Oh Neesy that picture just
fits here in Finland now, when Under The Dome starts tomorrow on our channel 4 I think I re-watch some of the episodes after all.
I just loved it.

Just feels strange that we are here again. Last day of this year and tomorrow a new year. Today I've just looking back and the US trip we
did this summer was first that come to my mind and the wonderful Kingkon weekend. So much have happened this year. Let's hope next year
will be same, with much joy and happiness.

Take care everyone and be well. Please stay safe too.

@The Nameless I'm sorry you didn't get to spend Christmas with your brother. Healing vibes to the whole family.

Hey guys, I'm back in the cantina for a pick me upper. I left my stepson at the party, the smoke from the fireworks at midnight made me cough so much, I was choking...
BUT, before that we had a lovely time together, and he was having so much fun, I didn't want him to leave. He was dancing with this cute little honey when I left:love:
I just hope he can find his way back to the hotel!! Well, he is 33, so I have to try to sleep even if he is not home... Haha, I can be such a mother hen...

Again, best wishes for the new year to all!:love_heart:

Sweet - glad you had some fun and left him to his.... fun. I'm baking cookies and then taking a bit of a nap before I head out to a friends, with the kids. I don't know if I'll stay out til midnight or not - I get tired early.

I'm not gonna like that one - it freaks me out every.blasted.time. Just when you think we're all getting to be normal - bam! with the, oh I forget the word - there's a word for that. Imma take some fish oil and see if it comes to me.

I guess they figured cutting a cow in half would be more dramatic than cutting a little gopher (like in the book)
