So I go on Google Earth and do the street view to practice the drive for interview. It is usually way cool.
The view I got, with every exit included a big truck blocking me from seeing. :facepalm_smiley:

Hi All! Wishing everyone a safe and happy (and restful, LL!!) weekend! Tomorrow starts my 5 days off mini vaca!! I dont even have to worry about losing the hour of sleep on Saturday night and dragging my tired butt into work early Sunday morning! It's supposed to be bright and sunny for the next 4 to 5 days so maybe a road trip is in order.

Making jam today...good day for it as the temps outside are single digit. Have some strawberry cooking in the water now, 11 8oz jars...will do another 11-12 after those are done...and will see how ambitious I am after the second batch cooks off. Timer went off so the first batch is on the counter cooling off.
Yummy! Hot jam! Watch you don't burn yourself - I've made jam in the past (long time ago) and I remember how good it was - so much better than the store bought stuff :):chew:

Cut loose, baby! 4 or 5 days of sunshine and no work. Sounds delightful!

Oh, I am so moving out of this place soon as I can. Everyone got mail from the office.
This is for pet owners. I understand that people should clean up after potty.

But this?

You have make an apt to bring you dog to the office. This will cost $40.00 per dog.
They will take a DNA sample from your dog and put it into a registry.

They will perform tests on any uncollected poop, find the owner and you get charged $125.00
If it happens again - 200 bucks. If you don't pay fine - Eviction. If you don't register your pet - eviction.

There is not even a poopie problem here!

I've heard the expression "What's the scoop?" but this is rather unusual - perhaps they have had some complaints of 'repeat poop offenders'?

This is the first I have heard of DNA tests on dog poop. The only bylaw we have here (apart from everyone cleaning up after their pet) is that cats are not allowed to roam outside at large and must be kept indoors.

If you let your cat outside it is supposed to be on a leash.

Our next door neighbour almost accidentally strangled her cat that way by not keeping an eye on it. The cat jumped the fence and was dangling there when the guy on the other side saw it.

This place is about the money. Looking for more out of people. If God forbid you are 5 days late on rent, they take you to court to start eviction.

That doesn't even sound legal. If it's not in your lease, can they even do that?

Seems to me it would cost less to put in a cctv system and videotape the offenders than run continuous DNA tests. Sounds fishy to me. An empty threat intended to illicit fear in the offenders than something they'll actually follow through with.
