Here is a weird picture. It is the light coming in from four different windows and it forms an "X". The tour guide said on a night where there is a full moon (especially around Hallowe'en), the X on the floor is quite visible. Some people from Paranormal Investigations or some place similar told them that there is a "portal" there

This was just taken with the camera in my Android phone.

Thanks Neesy, great photos and anecdotes and I'm glad that you had such a good time and your "marathon" drive was worth it!
I'd guess Andy felt "at home" in this room, with it having a St Andrew's cross on the floor.;)

Perhaps that's where the "portal" goes, Scotland!

Neesy - thanks so much for sharing. Loved your pictures and your stories! I'm so glad to see you back here and really, really wish I could have been there. Mayhap someday we'll share a meal and palaver.
Try for 2016 in Colorado? That gives you lots of time to save up those pennies!

Love it - that is almost as good as the 'standing stones' in Diana Gabaldon's novels!

He is so handsome in this picture.
I have a picture of a wild rose growing in a parking lot in Mansfield as well. I will try to crop it - there were so many things that made me think of his writing! Overall a very good trip. I hope you can make it to Colorado in 2016 Dana Jean

Colorado is closer to me, but I am holding out to attend a Bangor one -- for many reasons. I'd rather save my pennies for Bangor -- no offense Colorado. Although if we stayed in The Stanley, that could be fun.

Colorado is closer for me too-but I am also holding out for Bangor!! =D

I told Andy he would at least get good seafood in Bangor, Maine. We went to a Red Lobster (do not remember which state or city) but anyway, they said they steamed their mussels so he ordered them. Sure - they steamed them, alright - then they stuck them in an oven to dry them out! They were completely shriveled up and inedible.

We did get some great mussels at a place called Elizabeth's Chop House (finally). This was in Marquette, Michigan - lovely restaurant. I had a Cobb salad which was just beautiful.

Who knows? Maybe someone will decide to have a King Kon 2015 in Bangor? Right now we are trying to pay down our mortgage, so that is why I think Colorado would be better for us personally as it gives us an extra year to save up for it.
