If u had a chance to go back in time to any time in history for 1 year when would it be and why?

This was a tough one. I was thinking of all the events in history I could witness. Thinking of 11/22/63 where i could go back and witness the assassination of kennedy. Or 1994 to see if O.J. acted alone. All said and done I would go back to the last year of Christ and witness the whole year.

Side note, your in ghost form. No one can see or hear or sense u and u don't have the ability to interfere. Just witness. Where would u go

No, I wouldn`t take the chance and I wouldn`t go anywhere.
I`m born and am living in this time for a reason, or at least I believe that.
I don`t know myself really well, to be honest, so if I ever figure myself out...maybe then. :)

Good thread.

It would be tempting to go back to the time of a given prophet or messiah or icon and see how much was real and how much was made up later by the acolytes.

But then what do you do with it? So say, for instance, you go back to the time of Jesus' birth or death and you find out that, uh-oh, it wasn't as miraculous as your favorite gospel would lead you to believe. What do you do with that? No one's going to believe that you were a ghost in another time. Even if some did and you tried to set the record straight, you'd be reviled as anti-whatever-religion you were looking into.

Me, I'd like to go to the year leading up to Chicxulub (the meteor that probably trashed the Earth as the dinosaurs knew it, and the dinosaurs themselves) and see what life was like and see if the meteor really was all that. Or go back about 50,000 years and see the confluence of Homo sapiens and Homo neanderthalensis and the megafauna at the time.

There are some other things that appeal to me as well - the court of one of the Pharaohs, the court of Kublai Khan, the life of the Celts around 600 CE, the settlement of Hawaii by the Polynesians, the regal excesses of Mesoamericans. But still, that meteor calls to me.

I would go back to 2014 and I never would've taken that class. Then I never would've gotten involved with my art professor. It was the worst relationship I've ever had and it almost ruined my life.

I would also avoid getting involved with that CPA who destroyed my self esteem and made me feel like ending my life when I was in business school.

I'd go back and do 1982 again, and this time really learn that Rubix Cube. I mean, just get it down cold, man. Show up those dill holes at the arcade.

If that door doesn't work, I'll take 1947. Chain smoke Luckies and solve that damn Dahlia case. Eat pork based breakfasts every day with nips from the 'desk bottle' while reading pre-code comics. Hey, it's my fantasy, shut up.
