I only watched episode one of season 2. I promised myself that I would at least do that. I lost interest halfway through. My opinion is this should have been made as a movie or mini series. I would rather read the book.

I was happy when CBS decided to drag the story out into additional seasons. In hindsight, I think the original plan to tell the story within just one season was a better plan. I hate hindsight :(

The last episode was really, really cool! I think in this season there were two great episodes worth being watched, the first one and the last one.

But I am surprised they left so many questions again. Are they kidding us? The third season, really?? I thought they would not make it, after all the second season is really not as good as the first one, many people say so, and I agree.

But tonight's episode was awesome, so exciting!

I didn't see where anything was answered.
But Big Jim back as Big Jim was good. Ya gotta have that tension and threat to keep the story alive. Maybe going home is the mothership of aliens, or heaven, or nebraska.

As far as the kid, someone help with this, there is a quote tugging at my head, "and then there was one to lead them all?" Oh please someone know what I'm talking about. It seemed the original was speaking about a child. Is this a bible quote? gah!

And I would like to point out that Julia's hair was very lackluster last night. Still curly and bouncy, but not quite so silky/shiny bouncy. The grease to hair strand factor just wasn't there, but at least she didn't look like she stepped out of a salon.

There is a quote:
“And a little child shall lead them.” (Isa. 11:6.

I questioned why this crazy scene of rescue during this episode. And several times Julia keeps an extra eye on the boy-- I know Pauline said-- oh I wish I could see the show again, but the recap says Unknown Man-- but could this boy be an answer. is he meant to lead, not Barbie?

Season 3:

Big Jim and Junior spend the season hunting each other all Hunger Games style until they eventually join Pauline in a family portrait painting, hanging in a rather unique novelty shop in Castle Rock.

Melanie actually turns out to be Pennywise the clown in disguise and had led the survivors to the caves under Derry where they are devoured one by one.

The dome constricts and crushes Julia, the lone survivor, creating a new egg.

The fabulous new egg suddenly appears in Tull and is found by Roland.

Can someone tell me if I missed something or there was no official confirmation the show is prolonged? I mean, it's clear the story must go on, and yesterday we have seen the last episode of the second season. But no one said when we can expect to see the third season...

there is no word that the show has been renewed. Keep cling back, as Ms Mod will let us know.

I tried spoilering a couple of things here. For some reason, they just disappeared rather than being hidden behind a tag (or at least, I saw no tag where, in the past, I have).
Anyway, fair warning.

Just started watching season 2 - we're only 4-5 eps in over here, and I missed the first couple so it's ad-laden catch-up TV for me.
Thoughts are:
Stephen King, proving (yet again) that acting is so easy, they had to build a whole mythos around 'being trained' to stop everyone having a go.
Big Jim is, arguably, a more nuanced character in the show than he is/was in the book...though either way you cut it, he's a self-serving git.
I was shocked at the bit at the edge of the dome. I'd say Linda croaked, but then she always did.
Barbie stepped down off the scaffold...and mysteriously bulked up a bit. (Not the only slight body change between seasons, but there ya go.)
Surely anyone with a science background would have been consulted in s.1, even along the lines of "I know you're just a high school science teacher, but do you have any idea WTF is going on?"...Right?
Apparently, grenades go off as soon as the pin's pulled now. Who knew?
I also learnt that magnetic fields attract non-ferrous metals, and will cause a vehicle to slew rather than draw the engine block in the most direct way (even allowing for the whole dome being magnetized, the slew to the right would be cancelled out by the attracting force from the left, and vice versa...so it'd go straight on).

The end of the ep had me wanting more...but it was 2 a.m. by the time I finished ep1 and my eyes were about ready to fall out. (I would have been done before, but the internet crapped out twice and then I had to sit through about 5 minutes' worth of ads before the prog would restart.)

You're right... SK is a natural actor, definitely better than most :)

I can't figure out if UTD the series is spose to be character driven or action driven. Every character I think plays it real
dies :( I really liked Lyle and Andrea.

Mr Nobody... don't read my spoiler... Sorry :)

No, you'll find them on the Western Sea beaches. But rather perceptive of you nonetheless. To quote Ms Mod... :zip_it: (I don't want to give away Season 4 too soon. (But suffice it to say, in order to wet your whistle, Joe and Norrie do manage to escape with that little kid, and embark on a whole new Egg-cellent and Egg-citing journey in search for the woman with the marvelous red hair.)

The Lobstrosities live in
the beaches of the Western Sea :)

For me, the show is more action driven. My favorite character was Angie :(
