Well, it's a Saturday. I wake up at, like, 7, after a nice long sleep. Early in the morning, some friends and I shoot some footage for a short film. We have lunch (Mexican food) and debate some ****. Watch a movie, go for a swim in the afternoon, have dinner. Then, that night I go to a theatre that shows ye olde exploitation films, and watch a few, before going home.
5) Where are you most likely to curl up with a good book?
At home, on the couch.
6) If your answer in question #2 was not an ocean, have you ever seen an ocean?
I've seen a sea, but no ocean.
7) Which mystical creature suits you best?
Hmmmm....I dunno.
8) Do you have a traditional birthday meal? If yes, what?
Nope.
9) If you had to give up one food for the rest of your life, what would you give up? (Something that you eat now, not something that you hate anyway!)

1) What's your most unique feature? My insistence that 99% of all post Grunge-era music is useless and terrible Was the question most unique or most annoying? One in the same for me on this one according to my wife.

2) What is the largest body of water closest to you? How often do you visit there? Gulf of Mexico, last time I saw it was the late 80's.

3) When you are down, what is guaranteed to pick you up again? Usually force of will. I'm prone to staying down once I get there.

4) Describe your perfect day, start to end. Have to think about that one.....

5) Where are you most likely to curl up with a good book? Any time I have a few spare minutes.

8) Do you have a traditional birthday meal? If yes, what? My wife usually makes me chicken fried steak and white gravy, mashed potatoes, and a strawberry birthday cake.

9) If you had to give up one food for the rest of your life, what would you give up? (Something that you eat now, not something that you hate anyway!) Hamburgers....although the withdrawal might prove fatal.....

Almost forgot to answer my own questions...

1) What's your most unique feature? Long hair.

2) What is the largest body of water closest to you? How often do you visit there? Atlantic Ocean, Outer Banks, NC - as often as possible, 16 to 24 weeks out of the year.

3) When you are down, what is guaranteed to pick you up again? A hug from my kid or a snuggle from my puppy.

4) Describe your perfect day, start to end. Sleep til 7, leisurely breakfast with my family, walk on the beach collecting sea glass, fix some seafood, have a few adult beverages while listening to music and relaxing, then a good night's sleep.

5) Where are you most likely to curl up with a good book? Summer time, on the beach. Winter time, on the sofa.

6) If your answer in question #2 was not an ocean, have you ever seen an ocean? Can't imagine life without the ocean.

7) Which mystical creature suits you best? Mermaid.

8) Do you have a traditional birthday meal? If yes, what? Steak for dinner, chocolate cake with chocolate icing for dessert.

9) If you had to give up one food for the rest of your life, what would you give up? (Something that you eat now, not something that you hate anyway!) Honestly, I would have to say a vegetable, like broccoli, which I eat, but could live without. Would be too hard to do meat or chocolate, or something like that. I am weak. LOL

1) What's your most unique feature? I am too damn kind for my own good - "Your wish is my command", I'm like everyone's private Genie

2) What is the largest body of water closest to you? How often do you visit there? The Mighty Mississippi, I like to make it downtown about once a month - it's cool to drive down the hill at Riverside Drive and see the sunset over the river.

3) When you are down, what is guaranteed to pick you up again? I'm with Grandpa on this one.

4) Describe your perfect day, start to end. Waking up on my own to discover someone has let the dogs out, fed them and the kids, everyone is doing something not electronic - like playing Scrabble, reading a book or doing a jigsaw puzzle. Then we all go to the Antique shops and thrift stores, looking for books and other treasures. The Orgre grills up some dinner, and again feeds the dogs and the kids. I get a nice bubble bath, early in the evening, a little quality time with my husband, and then read until I fall blissfully asleep. If all of this could be down while I live in a beach condo, that would be great. Oh, I forgot the coffee - it's ready before I wake up. It's the smell that I awaken to.

6) If your answer in question #2 was not an ocean, have you ever seen an ocean? Yes - Miramar Beach, two or three times a years.

8) Do you have a traditional birthday meal? If yes, what? Grilled pork chops, tiramisu for dessert. Sometimes I get lucky though and there's an Elvis impersonator at my favorite midtown restaurant on my birthday - and we go there for Mexican. My birthday is during Dead Elvis week.

9) If you had to give up one food for the rest of your life, what would you give up? (Something that you eat now, not something that you hate anyway!) Boneless skinless chicken breasts - they bore the hell out of me.

Watauga Lake..... I used to go every weekend in the summer, now not so much.

I've managed to get off the mountain occasionally.....seen both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans live and in person.
