A theatre event at university. A historical musicalplay where i had a part. It was the first time that i heard people laugh with me and not at me since i began school. Gave me a totally new confidence in me.

three pairs of tennies in various states of used...a number of leather boots, Danners, Rocky, other, a number of winter-type boot rated for a variety of cold extremes, couple pair of Rocky chest waders, several pair of black rubber boots for pouring concrete, sandals, 2 pair of Tevas 1 pair of Minnetonka, must be a pair of dress shoes...these are actually from my time in service...yay, all those years ago...don't usually wear dress shoes, no occasion for it, about 16+

years ago this old white-haired old man, Ramon Diaz by name, told me, Walter, if digging a ditch makes you happy, dig it...was trying to go to school at the time and I tried and I tried and it finally dawned on me that I'm not a scholar so I can do carpentry work and that's what I do.

I believe one can experience a powerful attraction that can develop and grow through all the phases of love but I'm not inclined to believe there is "one" person for each of us.

A brand spanking new truck...probably Ford...cause that's what I've been buying, although Dodge has an innovative toolbox designed into one of their more recent models...if it was brand new no miles probably wouldn't matter what it was, preferably 4WD

I just realized recently that it was when a very good teacher pulled a scared, extremely shy new kid out of line and said (very decisively) that I needed to take his debate class. Changed my life to find out that 1) Being smart was okay 2) study is necessary to do just about anything right 3) my opinion, well stated and thought out, mattered

When I was little, I was always the teacher for the neighborhood kids when playing school. I entered college thinking I wanted to major in journalism (newspaper writing), but changed it to teaching when I realized that's where I should be. I like it because I'm kinda the boss of my little classroom world...the kids make every single day different, and I like the people I work with and my principal.

No. There have been progressive benchmarks, such as: 1) Leaving home. 2) Death of a friend (chronicled elsewhere on the site) 3) Finding love. 4) Having children. 5) Losing my religion. 6) Discovering people could respect me and so gaining self-confidence. 7) Changing my philosophy for the human condition rather than a programmed view.

Three. Black dress shoes, brown dress shoes, all-purpose knockarounds. Well... there's an old set of knockarounds in the locker at the club to work out in. And I have a pair of sandals. If I had to give one of those up, it would be the brown dress shoes.

I think I am still getting there. Coming up on 41 in a few weeks and in some ways I don't think I have matured into a full fledged adult and in some ways I think I am too much an adult.

5. A pair of tennies, "good" sandals, old sandles that should probably be thrown away, flipflops for around the house and a pair of dressier/casual type shoes. No fancy high heels for me. Too tall, I feel like a giant in heels. Plus, I hate dressing up to the point I would need heels.

I do not work outside the home, but I do what I do at home because I love my family.

I believe that if there is a base of trust, you can work at being soul mates. And achieve it, but it takes a lot of work, it doesn't happen automatically. Same thing, kind of, for love at first sight. I don't think "love" happens automatically, that takes time and work. But I believe there can be something that tells you, "this is the one." Happened to me with my husband.

I am happy with my car. Went 4 years without my own and planning everything around my husband's schedule and taking his, so no need to get greedy.
