I would gladly accept a 1970 model also...awesome cars.I will admit that when I first saw ghoster's answer, I thought of this. It's only a 1970 Challenger, but it's a 1971 movie.

This is the car model that I drove (not owned - parents owned it) in high school when I wasn't on my motorcycle.
You can't see the back windshield, but the glass was huge. The rear seat folded down forward, the front wall of the trunk folded down backwards, and you had close to seven feet of room to stretch out and look up at the stars through that big glass window. Yup, that's why I had it out on the country road at night - to lie back and watch the stars, away from the city lights. Yup, yup.
LOL, I bet the "stars" looked wonderful sir..lol. Do you still have the car?
My dad has a picture...somewhere, haven't seen it in years, but he and best friend are leaning against the hood of his friend's brand new 1971 Challenger. It had a 440 Magnum engine or something monstrous like that under the hood. My dad said it was the most powerful car he ever rode in.No, long gone. My parents weren't the best caretakers of such things as cars, and it's long gone to the Great Junkyard in the Sky. (We went overseas for a year, left our Honda for my folks to use, and it was 50% rust when we got back.)
Wow....that is one of the coolest shades of blue I've seen. Nice ride.I used to live with this in my garage. I had to park in the driveway because of it. '70 Chevelle the SS one. It looked just like this.
I was not enticed or amused when I had to get to my jeep and scrape off snow while this stayed nice and warm
That was was not mine... But same color.. It was very nice.
Ya know ex husband kept in in storage before. His mother would not let him keep it in driveway. (shades of Christine) He had it in storage.
We bought the house. Someone rear ended it while coming out of storage.
That ride is sharp! Very classy. My birthday present one year. (Dark green top over baby green)
1970 Thunderbird with a 429 Thunderjet engine. Sweeeetttt.

That was quite the movie - especially at the very end. I recall watching it back in the 70s with a bunch of friends.I will admit that when I first saw ghoster's answer, I thought of this. It's only a 1970 Challenger, but it's a 1971 movie.
