When I'm shopping, and it's loose vegetables, I have to buy things in 3's... or odd numbers at the very least. I find it hard to post anything. I can drive around for days with a letter or something in my car, and just find it so hard to post it. I'm left handed in everything I do, except for eating. When we go out for a cruise in the Mustang, and we get back home, I always kiss the dashboard of the car and say thank you, for getting us there, and back safely.

I Googled "a bit of crumpet" (I think in another post you said you would make tea and crumpets if SK came over to England?) :love-struck::m_stretch:

When I run, I have to keep the beat from my iPod song with my left hand...I have to move it slightly to the beat...close, close, open...close, close, open.
Depends on the song what I do with my hand.
I have to do that with my thumbs on the steering wheel when I drive. I swear it's giving me carpal tunnel, 30 years of doing that!

As with most of these things, I was never even aware of how often I pat my pocket to make sure my keys are in there until somebody asked me why I was always doing that.

I managed to lock myself out of the house once because I was carrying my keys in the same hand as the garbage I was throwing away on my way out, and the keys went right in the dumpster along with the bag. When I came back from the grocery store I go to grab my keys and . . . they're not there!

Uh oh!

Now, the door is locked, so I know I had them with me when I left the house, so I go back to the store to ask if anyone has found a set of keys, and nobody has. Now I'm in trouble. So I go back home and I sit down and I do what "they" always tell you to do, and I retrace my steps.

It took me a while to figure out what must have happened, and I was fortunate that the trash had not been picked up in my absence, but I did a little dumpster diving and . . .

Voila!

So now, I walk around patting my left front pocket like some kind of . . . well . . . I don't know what . . . and most of the time I'm not even aware of it.

I rarely eat the last bite of a sandwich or burger. The last part I was holding onto is always squished and unappetizing looking. Maybe I grip it too hard!

In high school I knew this kid we called Peebles (for reasons unknown) who never ate the last bite of his sandwich because, he said, he was afraid he would bite his fingers.

The other weird thing with me and hubs... I'm left handed in everything but eat right handed, hubs is right handed in everything but eats left handed. Queer 'aint it!

My younger sister is left-handed. When she got old enough to join us at the supper table and use her own utensils, she would hold her spoon in her left hand. I'm not sure why my mother thought that was such a bad thing, but for some reason she tried to "teach" my sister to use her other hand . . . with predictable results.

Just as an aside: I'm right-handed, but I bat and play hockey and golf left-handed.
