There really is a burger place called White Castle? I thought it was just made up for that movie.

Oh yeah. We used to skip school to go there. Our school bus driver used to drop us off, and pick us up later.

Bad school driver, now that I think on it.

Original sliders.

That looks really good. Oysters too. Now I want Cioppino big big.

I have troubles with food, must say. That looks like what it is.

Crabs? delicious. Went crabbing all the time, growing up where I did.

But they have faces and eyes and you have to sit down with a bunch of them looking at you.
Now dead.
Were they pom-pom crabs?

It took me years to like rice.

Did not grow up with it.
Me neither - now that I have worked with many Filipinos, it turns out that our potatoes is just like their rice - so I guess it's just what you grow up with.

I like rice a lot, now - especially brown Basmati rice.

Cooked faux Thai tonight. You take soy sauce, peanut butter, lemon juice, and selected other things, and it comes out darn yummy. Chicken, fresh vegetables, crushed garlic, Thai noodles. Grandma was quite pleased.

....I like em, but not everyone does....after a long night of drinking or smoking up in my younger days-they were ambrosial........till the next day and ummmm, they "transited"......

You know what I miss since developing food allergies? Big Mac

No alcohol and anything else required. I loved those burgers. Never liked anything else at. McD's, but I used to have a BigMac once or twice a month.

Tonight making French Country Chicken Soup

6 bone-in chicken thighs, or 1 whole chicken, cut into pieces
2 900-mL cartons chicken broth, or 8 cups chicken bouillon
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tsp dried tarragon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp white pepper
6 baby potatoes
4 carrots
2 celery stalks
3 leeks

Only thing is - I am substituting plain old onions for the leeks. And since I have no fresh chicken I plan to use left over cooked chicken breasts that I have in the fridge. So probably won't be as scrumptious as the original recipe but it'll do.

That and some "Secret Ingredient Biscuits" on the side with butter and a bit of cheddar cheese. All washed down with cold milk.

Here is the link if anyone wants to try the recipe:
