Currently read Lightning by Koontz.
About 130 pages or so in and it really wasn't what I was expecting...if I am completely honest I don't know exactly what I was expecting, but it's pretty good so far! :)
I think that was the first Koontz I read. Either that or Watchers. I was hooked and gobbled up over a dozen after that, then my infatuation suddenly stopped....

I finally sat down and read through WRAITH (Joe Hill).I'm not really into graphic novels but since I loved N0s4a2 so much I wanted to read this.I LOVED IT! The artwork is amazing.I only wish it was a full length novel.I think those two books would make great movies!

PS.I am starting to wonder if the King family has some strange fascination with balloons and if so then why?

Finished Make Me last night. My track record remains intact--the surprise was nothing like I could have imagined.
That may go to the head of my TBR list. On the basis of SK's thoughts about the ending, this is a must read.
Is it necessary to read the Jack Reacher novels in order? I haven't read any of them and found an older one at the used bookstore a few days ago. Was hoping I could "jump around" a little. :)

morgan - personally I've found you can pick a Jack Reacher book up and read it in any order. I kind of feel they were written so they could exist on their own. Ideally one could read it from book 1 through book 20. I've read a few and enjoyed each. No particular order, just as they were available to me.
Thanks, Spidey! This is good news because I don't know how many of the books my local library has, either.

Started Dynasty by Tom Holland. About the rise and fall of the house of Augustus, Romes first emperor. His are an intriging line. Some of the worlds most infamous rulers. Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius and Nero. When Nero was done not a single relative of that line existed. They had all, nearly anyway, died violent deaths at the hand of some relative because of the treat to the throne. A whole family that killed each other to extinction. But at the sametime managed to uphold Pax Romana which millions benefited from. As a contemporary jew said "Where before pirates ruled the seas there is now merchants ship. Trade blossomed at the same time that the different emperors made their names infamous. (Augustus is an exception, he's only famous).

I'd agree. The only constant character in the books is Jack Reacher and each book's story is independent of the others so it wouldn't matter if they were read out of order.
