1.Dolores Claiborne.
2.Parker by Richard Stark.
Also a book of short stories about plants, mostly Science Fiction. I Googled it just now but I got the Galaxy Bookshop in Sydney which is a good bookstore but I don't understand why they have 'The Regulators' under plant and animal books. I also notice 'The Monstrous' by Peter Straub, which I haven't read which looks good.

Zombies and TEOTWAWKI.
Okay. Nothing unusual there.

But, hold that thought, take that idea and make the UK the only surviving outpost of humanity.
Yep, the world's most weapon-averse society at the heart of the action?

Stephen Michael Fuchs (and Glynn James) have done precisely that with the Arisen series (they wrote the first nine books together then parted company):

I'm reading the entire series for the second time.
It's that good:encouragement:

I'm a bit zombied out but the first book is only 99 cents (kindle) so I'm going to give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion! :) Does the 12th book in the series end the story?

I'm glad you guys liked it! If you read any of Boyne's other books, let me know if they're good. I keep trying to decide which of his I should buy.

I have not read the book, but he also wrote The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. I have seen the movie, it is really good. But extremely sad. I would guess the book would be good. But it is an entirely different subject, WWII and Nazis.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas got really good reviews but it's not a novel I'm able to read. I think I was too young when I watched The Diary of Anne Frank - it disturbed me terribly. I have to leave the room when hubby watches documentaries about WWII on tv even :( I looked up Boyne's novels on Amazon and he seems to favor historical war fiction.

After finishing the rather good Fevre Dream by George R R Martin, I wasn't sure what to read next.
I had a scan through my King collection and pondered over IT, The Stand and Needful Things... (All of which I plan to reread in the very near future)
Picked up Needful Things, to read the first few pages...next thing I know, I am 80 something pages in and my next read chose itself!! :D

Tis indeed a beautiful book, Muskie! Put that dustjacket in a protective cover now! ;-D

It fits nicely in a comic bag when not in use, like this one:

Found em both at blessed Goodwill for a buck each! Now, if I could just find Red Nails, I could go to Valhalla a happy man.
