Started and finished David Lynch's 'Catching The Big Fish-Meditation, Consciousness, And Creativity. It has very small chapters. Interesting stuff I must say. It's all about how Transcendental Meditation and how it has helped him for the last 30+ years. Anyone here meditate daily?
Sadly, no. I have the attention span of a gnat on Adderall.

I like that, I've never heard it. :D Is it a Skimom-ism? It's an apt description of my thought life lately, lol.
YUP--lol! I make up words on the regular. Haven't you had a day that feels like that, though? I try to think and it feels like a lava lamp blooping. Working with kids is having that effect on me--I've used most of my good words by this time of night.

All the time. The lava lamp thing is spot on. I keep forgetting you're a writer in addition to editor, lol. I may have to steal that...it's right up there with 'bad gunky'.

Hi folks, been a few weeks since I have been on here!
Curse the silly need to work!! But I suppose that the books will not pay for themselves!

I recently finished my re-read of The Stand, still arguably the best book I have ever read.
Followed that up with Karin Slaughter's "Pretty Girls", recommended to me by a book group on Facebook. I liked it, more than I expected to as it's not normally my kind of genre.
Recently started the Odd Thomas series by Koontz, currently getting towards the end of the first book and so far, so good!

Hope everyone is okay, happy reading and all that jazz! :)

Powered through The Gunslinger and The Drawing of the Three already, about halfway into The Wastelands, where I discovered I just might murderlize my daughter... (about the last 20 pages are missing from the back of the book and I can't find them! :a17:)
Maybe the same person that took Tom Brady's jersey took those pages......;;D

I started the first few pages of "A Dog's Purpose" by W. Bruce Cameron

Then I had to go get my teeth drilled for two hours :icon_eek:

I like that it is written from the dog's point of view - so far very good and quite funny :dog:

Oh noooo! Two hours of tooth drilling. You need some good meds for that.
You know how tooth drilling smells - I'm sure it's fresh on your mind. I recently had some flavored popcorn - it claimed to be cinnamon, but it tasted like tooth drilling smells. I kept trying it just to be sure. And then I shared it with people telling them they had to try it and tell me if it really tasted like that. Majority agreed. Tooth dust flavored popcorn.
May you be well, Neesy!

I have learnt an interesting secret of life today. I am being a better person, and hopefully, I'll go to heaven. Both my parents were good hard working people, an never hurt noone except my father had predestinute towards drinking. I saw Bartholomew today. He likes to be called Bart. Bart was born in southern Italy. He told me 'I do not like Australian with their nasaly sound of their voices like" How ya goin' mate", so Bart when a few years ago when I said at the club continouisly 'how's Alexander del piero' going"? He is not called 'Alexander' he's called 'Alessandro'. Bart is a top bloke. He was born in southern Italy. I saw Bart today on the bus. I didn't want to say if he looked like he lost weight. He told me he had an operation with the spleen and gall bladder. I saw him at the bus stop on the day my father's funeral was on. (I was the only one there) I was at Jesmond shopping center dishevelled, drunkard, smelling, and wanting to kill myself. I said I wanted to kill myself( I think?) and he said something like "You have to be a MAN. Your'e father don't want no weak guy like you." Bart is a good guy.
