I SHOULD be reading THE DIVORCE PAPERS (and I will before the review is due, I swear!), but I'm finishing A FEAST FOR CROWS (George R.R. Martin)

He actually has three other books out after Let Me In. 1) Handling The Undead 2) Harbor 3) Little Star and then a collection of short stories called Let The Old Dreams Die. Right now on Amazon they have for free a download of his short story Itsy Bitsy. I got it a couple of months ago on my Kindle but haven't read it yet. I keep forgetting that I have books/stories on there that need to be read!Thank you! I didn't know Lindqvist had another novel out--I really, really enjoyed Let The Right One In. Another to add to my queue!
I'll be heading over there to get it--thanks!He actually has three other books out after Let Me In. 1) Handling The Undead 2) Harbor 3) Little Star and then a collection of short stories called Let The Old Dreams Die. I really do like this author's work. I have read his first two novels and enjoyed them. His take on zombies (Handling The Undead) is a fresh and different one. Harbor is in my TBR pile. Haven't got his newest book yet. His writing reminds me of early King.I'll be heading over there to get it--thanks!
Thanks for the response. I'll have to get around to it. Have you read her Madadam Trilogy? I loved it.I did! Like a lot of her books, there are layers to work out when you're finished For a small book, it threw me for a loop right at the end; made me question one point that I thought was settled. I liked it a lot!
I did! I liked the second one (The Year of the Flood) the best of the three, but all were interesting. I would have said that dystopias were pretty played, but she found some fresh observations and ways of looking at things. Thanks for the response. I'll have to get around to it. I just read today that she is taking part in a modern update of Shakespeare's plays. Not sure if it is going to be in play form or prose, but she is going to rewrite The Tempest. Perfect for her!

No, I haven't read that. Will check it out as well. Have you read the Positron series she is writing? There are 4 installments at this point, available as Kindle shorts. More dystopia. Pretty funny as well.Just looked it up--THE HAPPY ZOMBIE SUNRISE HOME, co written by Naomi Alderman

I too liked The Year of the Flood best.
I just finished "One Second After" by William R. Forstchen. Can't decide whether to start stockpiling food, water, and other survival essentials...or just buy enough ammo to not have to worry about trying to survive. That book scared the crap out of me...
I like Kate Atkinson! Will put on my TBR list.......and I forgot to mention...
Life After Life by Kate Atkinson: A beautiful story about Love, Death and War. It was heartbreaking at times, and posed a very interesting "what if?"
Loved this one!Right now I'm reading SK's Duma Key... Great change of pace from the killer cars & clowns, insecure telekinetic girls, demonic grave sites, etc... I really recommend it!

Oooh - I'll go google and see what's it's about. Now I'm intrigued. You could easily be put off by the premise of the book or even the way the opening third of the book unfolds but the characters are so finely drawn they will keep you caring.
