Hey, sweetheart, how ya doing? The Fireman by Joe Hill
Hey you! Good to see you!The Fireman by Joe Hill
...now see, I enjoyed the series...was it great?....hell no, but I did get some enjoyment from it....kinda like store bought pizza, rather than restaurant style....On the last 10 pages or so of Miss Peregrine's Home for Boring... er Peculiar Children. Says a lot about a book when you are at the end of a story that you know continues on for 2 more books, the protagonist and cohorts are in the grip of danger and you just don't care. Not a lick. You can't wait to finish it so you can never look at it again. Never. As in... never.
Mmmmm.....Pizza.....
I do. And my own chainsaw.
LOL I'm getting a mental image of him reading that resume, nodding and saying hmmm...girl's got skillz, don't let this one get away.I'm not surprised SK hired someone who listed abilities to operate chainsaws and wood chippers as special skills on their resume.

I really tried to like it. As I've said before, I love this genre and I thought it would be a natural fit. I found myself getting frustrated at the forced narrative due to the author having to work in the photographs, plus his inability to make me care for any character at all. Not one of them had any depth in my opinion. This all added up to me having a negative experience in reading this book. Different strokes for different folks; that's what keeps the world spinning....now see, I enjoyed the series...was it great?....hell no, but I did get some enjoyment from it....kinda like store bought pizza, rather than restaurant style....
....with that maniacal grin through the thatch of beard at the time.....LOL I'm getting a mental image of him reading that resume, nodding and saying hmmm...girl's got skillz, don't let this one get away.
