I'm moving to your area!! LOL I don't think my husband would agree though!
That guy I saw was the exception to the rule - maybe he had just come in from some remote northern Reserve - unfortunately quite a few of the indigenous guys I see are just like the rest of us - somewhat unhealthy looking at times due to poor diet or perhaps drinking too much etc.

May 17th to the 21st will be the Manitoba Ahbee - I plan to go to that - it is a gathering held every year with drummers, dancers, etc.

Many First Nations people in the Okanagan too, but, I have never saw anyone that looked like that :)
Another reason to visit Neesy
Hi Alexandra - see my other post - yeah - that guy is the exception to the rule!

I remember when I saw that guy who looked like the picture - I wanted to follow him! :a11: - I was in a car of course so wasn't going to jump out and park, then run after him :run_pig::lol_pig:

Now that I think about it, my first ummm... "my first time" was with a guy somewhat like him but alas he was a sort of "hippy" type who did not want to be tied down to anyone
:hmm:

Oh that is ****ty, she have had lots of days like that
This is the first time this has happened to me - I wonder if it was that new gal at Security? Maybe that is why they sent her to unlock the door

- oh well - next time I will make sure I am in the room at 11 so if anyone comes around and tries to lock it, I'll let them know

I like this new job but it will take time to get used to weird shifts - could be worse - I could be doing 12 hour shifts! :icon_eek:

Yes, you will get used to it. Is it at least one week the same, ie not days one day, then nights the next:cupcake::hammer::eek:
Well she did have me scheduled once for B route which ends at 11 p.m. and then the next day I had to be in at 8:15, but hopefully that won't happen too often;

Any more news about that poor little toddler in Edmonton who was found dead behind a church?

That is so awful - I hope he did not suffer

In your mirror.
Good Sunday afternoon.

Today I went out. :numbness: (I dislike being in the streets on weekends because the traffic is crappy.) I'm driving to my family home and there's traffic but we're moving well. Two lanes northbound, two lanes southbound and the turn lane in the middle and the speed limit is 45 mph. All of a sudden, people are slamming on their brakes! It seems like all lanes are hitting their brakes and horns are honking. (I'm hoping I don't rear-end someone and I don't get rear-ended.) I come to a stop and I'm looking to see what's going on. On the sidewalk are two kids laughing and sort of jogging and a third child is laughing and running to catch up. These three children (9-11 years old?) decided to run across five lanes of traffic in the middle of the way. My heart is racing as is my mind and I think, "Natural selection. Where's Darwin when you need him."

Continue on down the way. I'm coming to my turn to Momma's street and I'm going to make the light! Yay! Nope. Not Yay! Two motorcycle cops, lights flashing, get on the intersection and all traffic comes to a halt. I'm thinking it's a funeral? Cars are coming with flags waving, people hanging out, gesturing wildly and there are signs, Vote For Brown. :jaded: And a total of...six cars. Two motorcycle cops for six cars? (Now, on a side note: There's nothing wrong with older model cars. Nothing at all and I've had older model cars because I like them but. These vehicles? Let me put it this way, if you filled up the gas tank you'd double their value. Just saying) Okay, the six car parade is over and I'm thinking, "I'm going to vote for Brown's competition. Twice."

At that moment I saw in my minds eye: Siggie standing at her front door, shaking a fist and yelling, "Get off my lawn!!" and muttering "dahm hippies". :facepalm_smiley:

Today I realized Sigs is getting old and cranky.

Have a great Sunday!

Thanks FlakeNoir - I was a bit worried that maybe my computer had contracted a virus - sometimes it seemed like it was directing me to sites or pictures that I did not ask for or were on the somewhat raunchy side. I guess that is the nature of the internet - you always have to be on guard for hackers and those sites that install trackers - I wish I had a computer expert here to clean up this stupid old computer of mine.

We appreciate the work that all the moderators do - you keep us all on the "up and up" and make the SKMB one of the better, [if not the best!] message board out there - thanks again!

:biglove:
The computers in my home all have 'safe search' applied to keep my kids protected. (I'm guessing the teens possibly regularly turn that off on their machine though...)
It must work fairly well on my laptop, because I tried different combinations to bring that photo up and never found it again.

Thanks for the compliment, :) we try really hard to make this place happy and comfortable for everyone.

May the replacement go well and be just what you desire.
Thanks, Spidey!
The owner of the company has been very helpful in helping me find windows that are more affordable than the ones the salesman originally quoted. They will still have the EnergyStar rating, and are standard with LowE glass, and Argon gas, and a half screen. The warranty will include everything except for glass breakage, and the top sash is fixed and won't tilt in for cleaning. I've never had those kind of windows, so I really don't care about that part.... The total is coming in a lot closer to my budget, so I'm happy.

Good luck with the windows. Just don't let Brains install them. :)
