In first grade my response was a zookeeper or policeman. I split the difference and became a librarian, ha.
When I was in high school I took a course that supposedly would help us decide what jobs we would be good at. We did all kinds of tests, including IQ tests, fine motor tests, etc.
In the end, the two jobs suggested for me were Librarian and Legal Secretary. (My motto is "a place for everything and everything in it's place".)
Since I only planned to work until having kids, I went for secretary. (Only one person ever made the mistake of referring to me as "just a secretary".)
As an adult I actually looked into what courses I would need to get hired by the city as a librarian. Was willing to do that, but they don't hire often and only part time. In a school I would also have to be licensed as a teacher.
